We’re in for great times!

Let me be the first to say welcome to the brand new Access website. We hope you will enjoy browsing through the site, keeping up to date by utilizing the calender, and engaging in blogs on a regular bases. To those who have been away from Access for the summer I am sure that you will notice that there has been a few changes, but ask anyone and they will tell you how excited they are about all God is doing with Access and how He is directing the lives of all the people involved with this ministry. As the new semester starts look for Access to have a more prominent role on local campuses in the Western Michigan area and it’s surrounding communities. Also keep an eye out for members of Access at Campus Life at GVSU, and Civitas Festivus at Cornerstone University. We will also be heading out to Calvin College, GRCC, and Hope University very soon.

Please check back regularly for new blogs, comments, and updates to the calendar. Also note that you can sign up for email notifications when new blogs are posted by subscribing with your email address in the subscription link located on the right hand side of the page. September is going to be an amazing month as we have lessons being taught by our own Blake McDaniel, the multi-talented Curt Coffield, and myself. In October we start a new small group series entitled “Life Rules” written by Andy Stanley. We will have multiple small groups meeting all over Grand Rapids during the week and then coming together on Thursday nights to discuss the weekly topics. So come on out to Access, grab a cup of coffee or Oreo shake, make some new friendships, and most importantly – be filled with God’s Word. See you on Thursday.

Shalom!

I, for one, am very excited about everything going on at Access! The Lord is moving, and being a part of that movement is both a privilege and an honor. Don’t forget everybody, Bible Study at my place (4946 Ivanrest Apt. A) every Friday at 7:30. Due to my work schedule, I occasionally can’t be there but will leave it in the extremely capable hands of Blake McDaniel, or my EPIC roommate Andrew Ronzino. This week we’re on John 7, so everybody come prepared to get into the living Word!

Access Rocks! I live in Kalamazoo and while surfing the web God led me to the Res Life website, and then to the Access site. I have been going through some stormy seas, and really needed a touch from the Lord. I made the decision to go, got a babysitter for my 4-year-old, and ventured on the hour drive ~ for the first time last Thursday. God completely and totally touched my heart. I went up for prayer afterwards, and was praying and sobbing for at least 20 minutes (I lost count of how long I was up there, to be honest). God is so real and so good and met me exactly where I was at. No human could have scripted it better. I’ve literally been counting the days until the next service ~ which is tonight. YAY! :) Thanks to everyone who makes Access what it is. I plan on coming every week to keep healing, being renewed, and receiving from the Lord! Hopefully the winter months are mild and the gas prices go down :)
